Excuses, excuses

I’m great at excuses.  The reasons I can come up with for not writing, editing or sending out are many and varied.  And often more prolific than the words I write.

Shortly, NaNoWriMo will begin – that month long writing fest in which those who commit to it aim to write 50,000 words in a month.  I’ve often thought of giving it a go – this year I’ve even gone so far as to sign up.

Will I start it?  I’m not sure.  I wish it wasn’t in November (tail end of half-term, various birthdays and other distractions), but then isn’t it the same for every month of the year?

Or perhaps I’d be better off dropping the day to day excuses and prevarications and just get on with it, generally.
